Wo seid ihr? Wir flehen um Ihre Hilfe, während unsere Frauen und Kinder Opfer
des Krieges in Syrien werden. Wir erleben einen Völkermord in Syrien und sehen
eine Kriegsmaschinerie, die systematische Teile der syrischen Bevölkerung

Syrians in Merseburg:
Rally planned for the Victims of Cologne and for all the victims of the civil
war in Syria
On Saturday 16/01/2016 Syrians will stand up against violence towards women and
in solidarity withe the victims of the civil war in Syria. That happens because
of the assaults on women in Cologne two weeks ago and the siege of the Syrian
towns and villages including Madaya, Deir al-Zour and Algotha.
The event is organized by the Committee of Syrians in Merseburg. There will be
rallies in other German towns, too.
All the people of Merseburg, be they here for a longer or shorter time, are
invited to come. There will be speeches of refugees. The head of the Green Party
Parliamentary Group, Prof. Dr. Claudia Dalbert, will also join the rally.

On behalf of the Syrian community and for Syrian refugees:
We declare our full solidarity with the victims of violence in the city of Cologne.
We are appalled by those heinous crimes that contradict our principles and our
values, and our customs and traditions, and all our religious beliefs.
We hope that the German authorities will punish the perpetrators individually
for their crime. Those criminals do not represent us as Syrian Refugees in
Germany. Those crimes do not reflect the Syrian population's principles. We
assure the German people that we condemn any of those barbaric and brutal acts,
be it either harassment or assault, theft or any other violation of the law.
We emphasize that we are committed to the laws applied in this country as long
as we live on this land and among German people. And we appeal to the people and
the German government not to ascribe the crimes to our people in general but to
the individuals who committed them.
We have turned to your country to escape the war and the cruel crimes committed
in our country against humanity. We fight against any crime committed against
human beings, regardless of nationality. We will not forget that we owe thanks
and gratitude to the people and the Government of Germany. You welcomed us when
we asked for help.
Solidarity with the victims of war in Syria!
To every human being in the world and to every heart that holds a shred of humanity:
We inform you that the population of several villages and cities in Syria, such
as Madaya and Deir al-Zour and Algotha and most of the Syrian children, are now
starving because they are under the siege of terrorists!
To the United Nations, to the human rights organizations and women's rights
organizations and to the children's rights organizations:
Where are you? We long for your help while our women and children are victims of
war in Syria. We see a genocide in our country and a war machine which
systematically kills parts of the population and does not discriminate between a
man and a woman and a child and a little baby. It spares neither the old nor the
small.
In the name of all the exilees out of our beloved country:
We call upon all human beings and also the humanitarian organizations that stand
with the Syrian people in all countries of the world: Do stand with the children
of Syria and with the women and men in Syria. Please help our population to stop
this war. Please help to deliver food to hungry children. Syria is our beautiful
homeland. The ancient cradle of civilization is being raped and burned and its
people displaced and dying by all ways of killing. Please help us! Help to save
our people and lent a helping hand to us!
As Syrians we renounce terrorism and violence and reject this war from all
sides. We long for peace! As Syrians we do not differentiate between any of the
sects or religions.
Syria was the cradle of civilization and all religions. Let it become a good
