In 2019, I had unforgettable experiences in New York, Washington and Moscow. It was the year that marked the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall protests. In both New York and Moscow, I had the opportunity to speak about gender and sexual diversity. A lot has happened since then: Fascism is taken for granted, the United Nations has been sabotaged and boycotted by major states. A human right that applies to everyone and not just the privileged seems a long way off. So here are a few pictures that can motivate us to stand up for democracy, for human rights, for the United Nations. Im Jahr 2019 hatte ich unvergessliche Erlebnisse in New York, in Washington, und auch in Moskau. Es war das Jahr, in dem sich die Stonewall-Proteste zum 50. Mal jährten. Sowohl in New York als auch in Moskau durfte ich damals zu geschlechtlicher und sexueller Vielfalt sprechen. Viel ist seitdem passiert: Faschismus gilt als selbstverständlich, die Vereinten Nationen wurden von wesentlichen Staaten sabotiert und boykottiert. Ein Menschenrecht, das für alle gilt und nicht nur für die Privilegierten, scheint in weiter Ferne.
